- Replaces existing gas chlorine treatment equipment at the Recycled Water Treatment Plant.
WHY IT’S NEEDED
The city’s draft National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit renewal document sets new limits on discharging chlorine byproducts on the treatment plant effluent, which are not achievable when gas chlorination methods are continued to be used.
